Stable Neighborhoods

Working with the City of Rochester’s HOME Program, the Greater Rochester Housing Partnership, and focused investment programs, SWPC rehabilitates and renovates vacant and rundown houses, which are then sold to qualified first-time home buyers. These programs help preserve and upgrade the structures, provide affordable housing, and stabilize city neighborhoods.

SWPC also administers home repair grants through the Federal Home Loan Bank of NY and the NY State Affordable Housing Corporation, helping homeowners to increase the life of the structure, improve health and safety issues, and alleviate the financial burden of large repairs.
