Anna & Frederick Douglass - History & Soup with Rose O'Keefe

  • Abundance Co-op Community Room 571 South Ave Rochester, NY, 14620 United States (map)

Join published historian, Rose O’Keefe on Valentine’s Day at the Abundance Co-op community room for a presentation on Frederick and Anna Douglas followed by a question and answer period.

On what is considered Frederick Douglass’s birthday, get to know him and his wife Anna, from their roots in rural Maryland, to their moves to the Boston area, Rochester and later Washington D.C. Also, find out why Frederick, Anna and two of their children are buried in Mount Hope Cemetery.

South Wedge neighbor, Rose O’Keefe, is the author of “Frederick and Anna Douglass in Rochester, New York: Their Home Was Open to All” (2013)
