South Wedge Victory Garden - Gardener Application

Welcome to the South Wedge Victory Garden growing season! To use a garden plot for this year, please fill out this form. Once we receive your form, we will follow up with instructions on how to pay the $25 plot fee (this fee covers the cost of water and supplies for annual garden repairs). Please note that this fee is non-refundable. If plots are no longer available, we will place you on a waiting list and notify you via email. If you have questions, please email Sharon Turner at picturelady135@gmail.com.

SWPC supports the Victory Gardens and other neighborhood projects. Membership is not required in order to garden, but we encourage becoming a member to help support such projects within our community.
Gardener Agreement

Please read and initial after each clause in the spaces provided. A copy of this agreement will be sent to you along with a request for plot fee payment when plots are assigned. If plots are no longer available, we will place you on a waiting list and notify you via email.

I agree that I will not hold the South Wedge Planning Committee, Inc. (SWPC), SWPC employees, SWPC agents, or the City of Rochester or any of its employees or agents liable for any damage to personal property or personal injury that may occur while on the property. I agree to hold the South Wedge Planning Committee harmless.
I agree to attend an initial meeting to go over general garden procedures including composting, handling diseased plants, using water facilities, etc.
I agree to volunteer over the course of the season in order to maintain the garden site in consultation with the garden managers.
I agree to maintain my plot and space around it throughout the season. This means at minimum keeping personal gardens reasonably weed free and paths unobstructed.
I agree not to use any chemical insecticides or pesticides. If I have questions about pest control, I will consult with the garden managers.
I agree to keep garden-owned tools and other equipment on garden grounds.
I will not take food from the gardens of other members unless I have their permission.
If I change my mind or am unable to plant my garden by June 1, I will notify the garden managers so that my plot can be reassigned to another person on the wait list. I understand that the plot fee is non-refundable.
I understand that my use of the garden is contingent upon following the above rules.
